Simply Shaker

A six strand divisible, hand-dyed, overdyed cotton embroidery floss. Inspired by the simple, unadorned Shaker lifestyle, Simply Shaker has a soft, weathered appearance with the look of aged, antique threads, yet it is colorfast and lightfast and will not fade under normal use.

A variegated, hand-dyed thread. A small margin of error creates slight color variations across dyelots. For projects requiring a uniform color, purchase enough of each color to complete the project. Future dielots of the same color may not exactly match your original purchase.

Care

Washing overdyed threads after stitching may cause dye bleeding. The thread's surface fibers hold more dye because it's difficult to rinse off all the dye during the hand-dying process.

To remove excess die, rinse Simply Shaker in tepid water before stitching. Blot on white paper or a terry cloth towel to check for bleeding. Continue rinsing with clear water until thread shows clear. Repeated rinsing will not fade the color. Air dry completely before using.

Wash finished stitchery project in tepid water with very mild soap. DO NOT USE WOOLITE OR OTHER WOOL WASHES.
