Ordering Floss and Thread

To help our customers quickly find the floss and thread they need, The Keepsakes Stitchery Store uses two sorted lists: one sorted by color name and the other sorted by color number.

If you clicked Sorted by Color, the list shows color names sorted alphabetically. (The color numbers will not appear in numerical order.)

If you clicked Sorted by Number, the list shows color numbers sorted numerically. (The color names will not appear in alphabetical order.)

Order by color name or color number. Most manufacturers assign a unique color number to each floss and thread color. Always try to use the manufacturer's color number when ordering. It's the best way to make sure you get exactly the color you need.

However, some manufacturers prefer color names and may not offer color numbers. In that case, use the list of color names when ordering.

After finding a color number and/or color name in the sorted lists, just click on the color name or color number to add it to your order.

During Checkout, select a quantity for each item on your order. (You can also delete items from your order during Checkout.)

Finally, we'd like to answer a Frequently Asked Question.

Why don't you show actual floss and thread colors? Other websites do.

We do not show color images, because computer monitors (unless accurately calibrated) do not render an absolutely true color. What you see on most monitors will not exactly match the actual color of a floss and thread.

If you want to see a color image of a floss color (to get a general idea of what the color looks like), most manufacturers offer color images on their websites.
