Stitcher's Retreat
Each January, we host a stitcher's get away called the "Stitch-Away Retreat" at Hueston Woods State Park. Its a relaxed, low stress opportunity for our stitchers to get away from it all. No cell phones, no husbands, no pets, no kids, in simple, a great chance to sit back, put your feet up and JUST STITCH.
Our next retreat runs from Wednesday Jan 16th - 20th, 2013 at Hueston Woods.. Here are a number of the stitchers in the "Delmingo" room. This is our private stitching room, reserved exclusively for us. Its a great common space to stitch, commune with other stitchers, eat, talk, relax, or just see what others are working on.
We set up a small store at Hueston Woods each year nick named "The Keepsakes Annex" and fill it up with trunk shows from several cross stitch designers, as well as special goods from our store.
The theme for 2012 was "Strawberries". This was one of the gifts, along with Saturday night's dessert of Creme' Brulee.
Saturday night is "show and tell". Stitchers get to show off their stuff.
Hueston Woods has no lack of cozy places to stitch.
