A history-making Stitch Away 2024

Updated: Feb 4

After a busy holiday season, there may be nothing more delightful to a stitcher than to run away to the woods and stitch. That's the whole idea behind Keepsakes' Stitch Away retreat held at Hueston Woods State Park -- it's the perfect, quiet winter get-away, where one can regroup and put in some serious stitching time.

This year's event made history -- it was the first time Stitch Away was full week in length.

Nearly 200 stitchers joined us this year, and helped support this year's service project, Healthy Moms & Babes, a community outreach organization that helps expectant moms in need and their babies. Our attendees donated 196 onesies, 125 zip-up jammies, 47 play sets, 3 cases of baby wipes, and various other blankets, bath sets, socks and more than $1,500 in cash and gift cards.

And if that wasn't highlight enough, the talented Beth Seal of Summer House Stitche Workes was this year's guest designer. Her gorgeous "My Blue Heaven" chart was gifted to all attendees, along with a bonus "Home Sweet Home" pynkeep.

Keep an eye out for more information coming about Stitch Away 2025!
