Stitch-Con 2023 recap

Updated: Jul 6, 2023

We're still packing up boxes, restocking the shop and tallying donations, but this year's Stitch-Con event was a record-breaker in many ways!

Something magical happens during those epic two weekends in June. Bringing Flosstubers and fans together means we re-connect with old friends and make new ones. There is laughter (and sometimes tears), sharing, shopping and stitching, all in varying amounts.

And each year, the amazing individuals in the cross stitch community come together to generously support a worthy cause. This year, that cause is the St. Joseph Home of Cincinnati. St. Joseph Home is a Cincinnati-based nonprofit that provides much needed support systems for people with complex disabilities and their families.

Through everyone's generous donations, the amount raised was enough to assist in purchasing a new adaptive bathtub and life jackets for the therapy pool.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you that attended Stitch-Con and were so generous in supporting and partnering with St. Joseph Home," said Lucienne Driehaus, chief development officer. "We are still dumbfounded at the unbelievable generosity you and all of your participants displayed toward our mission and our people. Just amazing!"

We hope all of our attendees had a wonderful time and we look forward to seeing you again next year! Stay tuned to our social media and Stitch-Con.com for information on next year's event.
