Our 2023 Stitch Away event at Hueston Woods State Park in Oxford, Ohio, was one of our best ever!
With more than 150 attendees set up in our stitching room or tucked in cozy nooks around the lodge, we think equal amounts of stitching and friend-making were going on!
We want to thank everyone who contributed to this year's service project, supplying warm coats and monetary donations to the Mary Magdalen House of Cincinnati. We are still receiving donations to this effort, and we have been blown away by everyone's kindness and generosity.
We also want to thank our guest designer Judy Whitman of JBW Designs. Not only did Judy join our stitching weekend (and even made a tomato pincushion in Susan's class!), but she also brought an exclusive gift for our attendees. "Bluebirds of Happiness" is a beautiful new sampler design of birds, twining flowers and a lovely verse, and came kitted up with the threads and a sheet of bluebird stickers.

And speaking of shopping, we saw many happy faces and green gingham bags leaving the Keepsakes annex throughout the weekend. And yes, while we all were stitching or getting ready for dinner Saturday night, a fire alarm required us all to clear the stitching room for a short while as a precaution. No one was harmed, stitching recommenced, and we finished up the weekend on a happy note! Look for 2024 Stitch Away info coming soon!
